LFIS Science, Sports and Art Festival series activities | Discipline integration · Technology building dreams

2024-10-22

LFIS Science, Technology, Sports and Art Festival is under way. In this season full of exploration and innovation, we have witnessed the collision of wisdom and dreams.

From interdisciplinary research to project learning, from colorful chemical reactions to amazing physical phenomena, every moment inspires students' curiosity about the unknown world and makes science accessible!

01

Primary section

The primary school carried out a series of activities involving three dimensions: robotics, future transportation and weather and climate research. Through these practical explorations, the children fully demonstrated their love and unremitting pursuit of scientific knowledge.

1

Robots: Exploring the mysteries of intelligence

Whether it is a moving robot or a robot that swings its body, it feels futuristic! In the journey of exploring technology together, they not only exercised their hands-on skills, but also stimulated innovative thinking. The power of teamwork makes the event more exciting.

2

The future of transportation: Dreams come true

The students learned about the development history of transportation, drew modern transportation tools, and made exquisite business cards of the founder of transportation, and they couldn't help but sigh at the rapid development of science and technology.

无论是小苏打和醋产生气体推动“火箭”发射,还是气球动力小火车、创意汽车模型,同学们在实验过程中感受到了科学的魅力。

3

Weather and Climate: Guarding the planet Home

The students used the pumpkin lantern shade as a canvas to depict their awareness and concern about climate change with color and creativity.

Through delicate depiction and vivid display, the students' garden lampshade bears witness to the miracle of life and the mystery of nature.

The greenhouse house model simulates the formation of the greenhouse effect, and everyone has a deep understanding of the seriousness and urgency of the current environmental problems in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Junior section

Students in the middle school carried out project-based learning on climate, topography and other aspects, and created a series of models and installations.

1

Explore the ecosystem

The students explored the ecosphere, conducted research on the greenhouse effect, and made ecological bottles and greenhouse boxes.

2

Simulation of Krani graphics experiment

Krani, the scientist, took a sheet of metal and sprinkled it evenly with fine sand. The thin sheet is then pulled with the bow of the violin, and the result is that the fine sand on the sheet begins to move and automatically arranges into different beautiful patterns. This is the famous Craney graph. The students simulated the experiment and the vibrations of the sound waves became visualized.

3

Simulate topography and form biological communities

From the ice field to the ocean, from the ocean to the desert, the students conducted various studies on the special landforms of various places, and worked together to manually simulate the landforms and form biological communities.

Senior high school department

The High School Festival uses printing, VR and visual arts as vectors, while combining original music to take us on an amazing journey to explore every continent.

Printing and dyeing art transcends time, space and region, showing the unique charm of different cultures. At the festival, students witnessed the magic of traditional printing and dyeing technology and felt the cultural heritage contained in the delicate texture and bright colors.

VR technology opens a new door to the world. Put on the VR device, and instantly immerse yourself in the prosperous Chang 'an of the Tang Dynasty, as if you can touch the ancient relics and listen to the echoes of history. Through the visual impact of VR, we will have a deeper understanding of the differences and commonalities between ancient and modern cultures.

Visual art is an important part of this journey of scientific and cultural exploration. One by one, the art of resettlement shows the local customs of each continent in front of our eyes. From the blue sea and blue sky of Oceania to the ice and snow world of Antarctica, every picture is a story, and every color is an expression of emotion.

Through the way of edutainment, the seeds of science and innovation education take root and sprout on campus, light up students' interest in science, and comprehensively improve students' practical ability, innovation awareness and scientific literacy. Let's look forward to the Science and Technology Sports Arts Festival on November 1st!
